| Description |
English: Precipitation ponds at Mona Mine Water draining from the mine was pumped into these ponds. Scrap iron was added leading to a chemical reaction the result of which was the precipitation of fine copper dust on to the bottom of the pits. This was periodically raked, dried and sent to be processed at the smelting works. |
