In the upper right corner is the Andromeda Galaxy, in the upper part the Milky Way Galaxy dominates. In the lower part of the image are the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds. In between is the star cluster Price-Whelan 1. The image was created using the software Gaia Sky (U. Heidelberg/Zentrum für Astronomie) and Photoshop Elements 12.0. For the dataset 76 stars were selected, using Gaia DR2 (Gaia Collaboration 2018) and the given parameters by Price-Whelan et al. 2019. |
