| Description |
English: Washington D.C. - I was walking across the mall, past the Washington Monument, and noticed the police had closed the roads. The police and the protestors were very cordial. A few people yelling along the route with counter positions but for the most part a peaceful affair. Apparently this happens a lot in DC. I had the camera so I just blended in with the media. Quite an unusual situation.
Regarding the protest, the positions even among the protestors were hugely different. Some wanted peace. Some wanted the West Bank. Some wanted full "right of return". There is no easy answer to this situation, and I am going to not take a position on it on flickr. But the photos do speak loudly regardless I think. |
