| Description |
English: Pumping Station and the bank of the River Dee Another pumping station that helps to drain the water from the reclaimed marshland behind the flood bank of the River Dee, and pump it into the river to the right. The height of the protective bank can be seen clearly here. Along the bank, and in the distance, is an array of electricity pylons associated with the power station at Queensferry. Also the arched structure of the Hawarden Bridge railway bridge can be seen to the right, and in the far distance the gleaming white superstructure and suspension cables of the Flintshire Bridge. |
