Summary[edit]
DescriptionQueen's University Elmwood Learning and Teaching Centre, Belfast - geograph.org.uk - 913557.jpg |
English: Queen's University Elmwood Learning and Teaching Centre, Belfast. A side view of what was once part of the Geology building, which was designed by John McGeagh in 1949 and opened in 1954 (part of a grand 'Beaux Arts' plan for this area that never really materialised).
Sadly Geology was one of those subjects that failed swell the coffers of the university sufficiently and the department was closed down a few years ago. See also 913554. To the right is the southern end of the recently renovated Students' Union. |
