| Description |
English: The AT&T building adjacent to the Lost Battalion Hall Recreation Center, on the north side of Queens Boulevard between 62nd Avenue and 62nd Drive in Rego Park, Queens. In the 1970s, the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) and the New York Telephone Company (now Verizon) were allowed to build a telephone exchange on (or under) the grounds of the hall in exchange for building an adjacent playground. I'm not sure if this building is the telephone exchange itself, or if it was built later. |
