Summary[edit]
DescriptionRAAF Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules flies up Anzac Parade, Canberra.jpg |
English: RAAF Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules flies up Anzac Parade, Canberra. The ADF held a number of ‘Operation Slipper’ Welcome Home Marches on 21Mar2015. A pair of RAAF 37 Squadron C-130J-30s (A97-467 and A97-465) flew over Anzac Parade Canberra, and after an orbit around Canberra Airport, they passed low over the Australian War Memorial (AWM) where the Parade had ended. A97-467 (Cn 382-5467) is shown over the AWM, with the orange/ pink gravel from the Anzac Parade median strip visible at rear. The Hercules is starting to climb and bank to Stbd, to pass by the Mt Ainslie lookout. (Steve Veigel observed that the Herc is in the correct lane to turn right!) |
