Description
Deutsch: Drittes Reich Abzeichen vor 1945 Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend (RADwJ); Brosche für Kriegshilfsdienst (KHD); Kriegshilfsdienstschaffnerinnen waren Mitglieder des Reichsarbeitsdienstes der weiblichen Jugend (RADwJ), welche während des Zweiten Weltkrieges zwangsverpflichtet wurden, als Schaffnerinnen in vielen deutschen Städten Dienst zu leisten.

Brosche für Kriegshilfsdienst (KHD), War Helper's Brooch; with swastika above stylized sheaves of wheat, etc.; for having completed the six months obligatory RADwJ service, and a further six months service in in support of the war effort: loosely diamond- shaped metal pin, with swastika over V-shape made of two shafts of wheat, with banner across center. "RADWJ" across banner; reverse has a loop attached vertically at one side and a u-shape attached vertically at opposite; pin is missing; 38 x 41 mm.

Reich Labour Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst; RAD), a major organisation established in Nazi Germany as an agency to help mitigate the effects of unemployment on the German economy, militarise the workforce and indoctrinate it with Nazi ideology. The official state labour service was divided into separate sections for men and women. From 1935 onward, men aged between 18 and 25 may have served six months before their military service. During World War II compulsory service also included young women and the RAD developed to an auxiliary formation which provided support for the Wehrmacht armed forces.
