Summary[edit]

Description

Part of the 100 aircraft flypast over London to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force. This formation consisted of twenty two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft in a ‘100’ formation. While the formation flew from RAF Coningsby, aircraft from RAF Lossiemouth were also involved.

The six aircraft forming the ‘1’ were ‘COBRA’ formation:- FGR.4 ‘ZK306 / 306’ in full 1sqn markings FGR.4 ‘ZK307 / 307’ FGR.4 ‘ZK310 / 310’ FGR.4 ‘ZK314 / 314’ in full 1sqn markings FGR.4 ‘ZK319 / 319’ in full 1sqn markings and FGR.4 ‘ZK320 / 320’ in full 1sqn markings.

The eight aircraft forming the central ‘0’ were TRIPLEX formation:- T.3 ‘ZJ802 / 802’, FGR.4 ‘ZJ916 / 916’, FGR.4 ‘ZJ920 / 920’, FGR.4 ‘ZJ939 / 939’, FGR.4 ‘ZJ942 / 942’, FGR.4 ‘ZK318’ with 29sqn and ‘RAF100’ markings, FGR.4 ‘ZK342 / 342’ in full 6sqn markings and T.3 ‘ZK383 / 383’.

The eight aircraft forming the second ‘0’ were WARLORD formation:- FGR.4 ‘ZJ950 / 950’, FGR.4 ‘ZK301 / 301’, FGR.4 ‘ZK304 / 304’, FGR.4 ‘ZK308 / 308’, FGR.4 ‘ZK312 / 312’, FGR.4 ‘ZK316 / 316’, FGR.4 ‘ZK354 / 354’ in full 11sqn markings and FGR.4 ‘ZK357 / 357’. Seen from Wanstead Flats, East London, UK.
