Description
English: Vickers Supermarine Spitfire Mk XIVe in the colours of of No. 485 Squadron RNZAF photographed by the author at the RNZAF Museum Wigram Christchurch New Zealand in 2008. The aircraft is represented as an RNZAF aircraft operating in Germany late in World War II, however this particular machine did not see combat. It starred in the Douglas Bader movie Reach for the Sky in the 1950s, and was a Gate Guardian for the Brevet Club in Christchurch before being restored.
