Description
English: This RK 9 "Grasmücke" (Prod. Number: 353) was built in 1928 and used for advertising flights. In 1929, it was damaged in a landing accident and afterwards stored in a shed. The plane was rediscovered in 1968 and after a few repairs handed over to the Otto Lilienthal Museum in Anklam. It is now on display at the Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin as a loan object. This RK 9 is the last surviving plane of its type.
Deutsch: Die RK 9 "Grasmücke" (Werk-Nr.: 353) wurde 1928 gebaut und anschließend für Werbeflüge genutzt. 1929 wurde das Flugzeug bei einem Landeunfall beschädigt und daraufhin in einem Schuppen eingelagert. Erst 1968 wurde die Grasmücke wieder entdeckt und nach einer Reparatur dem Otto-Lilienthal-Museum in Anklam übergeben. Derzeit befindet sich die "Grasmücke" als Leihgabe im Deutschen Technikmuseum Berlin. Sie ist das letzte erhaltene Exemplar dieses Typs.
