Description
English: A rapid HBsAg test is a diagnostic test used to detect the presence of the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in a person's blood. A positive result on this test indicates that the individual has been infected with the hepatitis B virus (HBV) and is currently carrying the virus in their bloodstream. A positive HBsAg test suggests an active HBV infection. HBV is a virus that can cause liver inflammation and can lead to both acute and chronic liver disease.
