| Description | The railway landscape at Reedham shows so much of an earlier age, when even relatively small branch lines and stations had extensive stations, track work and sidings. Throw in the continued use of loco-hauled services (now operated by Class 37 locomotives), semaphore signalling, and a swing bridge - well you see what I mean. The approach to Reedham from the east - even for non-stoppers, is a slow one. Trains from Great Yarmouth snake across the junction, whilst those from Lowestoft have just negotiated the tight curve round from the swing bridge. This makes the actual passing of non-stop trains through the station a bit more impressive, as they begin to accelerate away from the speed limit. |
