English: Regor (Gamma Velorum) is a quadruple star system 1090 ly away in the constellation Vela - The brightest is a spectroscopic binary composed of a blue supergiant and a blue carbon-rich massive Wolf-Rayet star (by far the closest and brightest known) - The other pair is a blue giant and an unseen companion - Due to the exotic nature of its spectrum, it is also dubbed the Spectral Gem of Southern Skies -
