Description
English: Detail cropped out of a map from the first half of the 18th century showing the territory of the Free Imperial City of Goslar in the Harz region. Tiny Goslar was tucked between the Prince-Bishopric of Hildesheim to the north and the Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel to the south. The double-headed eagle next to Goslar's name symbolizes its status as a free imperial city.
