Summary[edit]
DescriptionReliefs with heroes and worshippers, Chrysapha Sparta (Greece), marble, around 540 BC 8595.jpg |
English: Relief with Heroes and Worshippers. Chrysapha/Sparta (Greece), marble, around 540 BC. It is the oldest of the Laconian hero reliefs. Heroised deceased are shown with distinct attributes of their removed status (throne, snake, receptable for offerings, worshippers). Inscxriptions indicate this kind of relief may have been put on tumili of Spartan heroes.
