Summary[edit]

Description
English: Remains of All Saints Church. Three churches share the same churchyard: Reepham's church of St. Mary (at right) is joined by its choir vestry to St. Michael's (seen to the left), once serving the parish of Whitwell, and a third church, All Saints, which served the parish of Hackford. A third church, All Saints, served the parish of Hackford and was destroyed in the fire of 1543; all that remains is a short section of wall, covered by vegetation, in the southwestern corner of the churchyard (seen here).

Services are being held at St Michael's at least three times a month and the church is also used for social and fundraising events; presently closed to the public, a redevelopment group is seeking to modernise the interior of the building (with the backing of the PCC) and it is hoped that the chancel will be open after the refurbishment, as a quiet place for people to go and also to provide an opportunity for viewing the Art Nouveau window by Reginald Framton - the window forms part of the war memorial for Whitwell and Hackford.

St Mary's church > 766134 - 766136 - 766141, extensively restored in the 19th century, is open every day. The perhaps most noteworthy survival from medieval times is an altar tomb to Sir William de Kerdiston, on a bed of stones > 766138. The square font dates from Norman times > 766143.
