Description
English: Remains of clay excavations. The field south of the canal immediately west of Brickyard Bridge contains an area with raised humps and marshy patches, probably the site where clay was excavated for the nearby brick kiln for which Brickyard Bridge was named (see http://www.cheshire.gov.uk/countryside/Walking/circularwalks_long/crewe_nantwich/walkingtrackways.htm ).
