English: Remains of the Solway Viaduct. The Solway Viaduct, over 1 mile long, was constructed in 1870 to span the Solway just west of Bowness-upon-Solway. It was finally demolished in 1934. http://www.cumbria-railways.co.uk/solway_viaduct.html The power station at Annan can be clearly seen in the distance. |
