Summary[edit]

Description
English: Remains of the rope walk. The rope walk was a long, low, narrow building which ran the 500 or so yards between the Gourock Ropeworks mill at Blackstone 337620 and Barrs Brae. As the name suggests, it was used to produce ropes. The remains of the building can be seen to the right of the Glasgow - Gouock & Wemyss Bay railway line, running to the horizon. Viewed from the Barrs Brae railway bridge.
