Description

c/n PFA 238-14408 Built in 2010 and painted to represent an aeroplane flown by Ludwig Beckmann of Jagdstaffel 6 (Jasta 6) during the winter of 1917/1918. He would go on to score eight victories in WW1 and later commanded special transport units IV/TG1 and KGr.z.b.V 500 during WW2. He was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross during his command of the latter unit. This replica of his earlier mount is seen while performing as part of “The Great War Display Team” at the Shuttleworth Collection’s ‘Flying for Fun’ evening Drive-in Airshow Old Warden, Bedfordshire, UK
