[edit]
Description
English: Restoring the RAF Buildings. RAF Defford at Croome Park was instrumental in the development of radar in the 1939-45 War. A former hospital building 1194921 has been converted into a visitor centre and cafeteria. The National Trust is restoring these buildings, installing a woodchip burning boiler to heat them. Wool from hill sheep is used to insulate the roof space.
