Español: Retablo de San Nicolás (o San Nicolás en cátedra con historias de su vida), copia de un original de Antonello da Messina, hacia 1465. La obra original quedó destruida durante el terremoto de Messina de 1908. La copia se conserva en la catedral de Milazzo y se ha atribuido a Antonino Giuffré o a Giovanni Antonio Marchese. La obra original tenía ocho paneles laterales con escenas de la vida de san Nicolás, y no diez como en la copia (se han añadido dos nuevos paneles a la composición en la parte superior representando una Anunciación, con el Ángel anunciador a la izquierda y la Virgen a la derecha). Otros detalles de la obra, como la cátedra del santo, tampoco son exactos con respecto a la obra original.
English: Saint Nicholas Altarpiece (or Saint Nicholas in chair with stories of his life), copy of an original work by Antonello da Messina, ca. 1465. The original altarpiece was destroyed during the Messina earthquake of 1908. The copy is kept in the Milazzo Cathedral and has been attributed to Antonino Giuffré or Giovanni Antonio Marchese. The original work had eight side panels with scenes from the life of Saint Nicholas, and not ten as in the copy (two new panels have been added to the composition at the top depicting an Annunciation, with the announcing Angel on the left and the Virgin on the right). Other details of the work, such as the chair of the saint, are not exact with respect to the original work.
Italiano: Pala di San Nicola (San Nicola in cattedra con storie della sua vita) presente nella Cattedrale di Milazzo. Copia di un originale di Antonello da Messina, intorno al 1465. L'opera originale fu distrutta durante il terremoto di Messina del 1908. La copia è conservata a Duomo di Milazzo, ed è stata attribuita ad Antonino Giuffré o Giovanni Antonio Marchese. L'opera originale aveva otto pannelli laterali con scene della vita di San Nicola, e non dieci come nella copia (alla composizione in alto sono stati aggiunti due nuovi pannelli raffiguranti un'Annunciazione, con l'Angelo che annuncia a sinistra e la Vergine a destra). Altri dettagli dell'opera, come la cattedra del santo, non sono esatti rispetto all'opera originale.
