| Description |
English: Reuben Sapetulu is one of the most hardworking young person who is passionate about a safe and better future. He was born on the 30/08/1995 in Ndola. He was finished his Primary School from Kalulushi at Chavuma Primary School. He went to kalulushi Secondary school where he started and finished his Secondary Education in 2014. He is known for his fight towards making young people to drive sustainable development. He brings critical issues to the attention of young people including the sustainable development goals SDGs so as to allow young people understand their roles in society and how they can drive sustainable development. He graduated from the University of Zambia in 2021 with a Bachelor Degree in Sociology of Education with Civic Education.
He is also known for his sacrifice and fight in his leadership journey which is inspirational. In 2014, he served as District School Council President for Kalulushi District during his time when he was at Kalulushi Secondary School where he did his Secondary Education. In 2016 he was accepted at the University of Zambia to pursue his first degree in Sociology of Education with Civic Education. He also served as a President for the University of Zambia United Nations Youth Association of Zambia in 2019 to 2020 academic Year. In the same year he started leading a hub activity under Global Platform Zambia known as the Youth Dialogue Program on SDGs during his time when he was President for UNZAYUNA. He continued with the hub but allowed other Presidents who took over from him to continue with the Hub activities as he had to create an SDG knowledge hub for youths to share their innovative ideas in driving sustainable development. He has also been key in the fight for Climate Action where he has collaborated with MIET Africa and UN CC Learn on a number of Climate Change programs including those under the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Zambia Environmental and Management Agency as wel as the Zambia Climate Change Network. As he drives to shape the future with his fellow young people, his one goal is aimed at a better future and his optimistic vision stands to influencing other young people who are inspired to follow suit and create impact! |
