English: El Gobernador del Banco Popular de China, YI Gang, y el Presidente del Banco Central de Chile, Mario Marcel, firmaron hoy en Santiago un convenio de agencia para invertir en el mercado interbancario de bonos en China.

Hasta la firma de este convenio, el Banco Central de Chile operaba con un acuerdo exclusivo con el Banco Popular de China y a partir de ahora, podrá hacerlo tanto con entidades públicas como privadas de ese país. La ceremonia se realizó en uno de los salones del Banco Central de Chile, en el marco de una visita del Gobernador del Banco Popular de China, quien encabezó una delegación de esa entidad integrada por los directores generales del Departamento Internacional Zhu Jun y Guo Kai; el Sub Director del Departamento Internacional División G20, Teng Rui y el Representante de la Región Caribe, Zhou Ye. La delegación visitante sostuvo luego un almuerzo con los integrantes del Consejo del Banco Central de Chile, integrado por su Presidente Mario Marcel; el Vicepresidente Joaquín Vial y los Consejeros Rosanna Costa, Pablo García y Alberto Naudon. También participaron el Gerente de División Política Monetaria Elías Albagli y el Gerente de Análisis Internacional, Diego Gianelli.

Luego de esta reunión, el Gobernador Yi y el Presidente Marcel sostuvieron una reunión bilateral, en la cual se evaluaron posibles instancias de cooperación entre ambas instituciones. Santiago, 3 de diciembre de 2018.
