English: Rev. Canon Benjamin Maturin (16 December 1815 – 31 October 1905), Vicar of Lymington, Hampshire from 1852 to his death. Maturin was born at Clondavaddog, County Donegal, Ireland. He studied at Trinity College, Dublin from 1838. After curacies at Newtownards in County Down, Kilbarron, County Tipperary, and Raphoe and Ballyshannon in County Donegal from 1848, he was made curate of first Biddenden, Kent and then Ringwood in Hampshire. He was then given the incumbency of Lymington. He was a rural dean from 1892, and was made a canon of Winchester Cathedral in 1903, two years before his death at Lymington Vicarage. For 52 years until 1903 he was chaplain of the Lymington Poor Union. Muratin was married first to Anna Johnston (1817–42), who bore him one child, and then to Adelaide Daniell (b. 1830), who bore him three children by 1861.
