| Description |
English: Entry submitted by J.C. Cady & Co. in the 1890–1892 design competition for Rhode Island's new State House. The design integrates Richardsonian forms with elements reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance, a combination that may have contributed to the appearance of disunity in the eyes of the commission.
The design submitted by McKim, Mead & White was ultimately chosen. |
