Description
English: Rhynie Farm Looking North west towards Tain and Struy Hill. Silage land is sandy loam over Old Red Sandstone free draining and fertile pH 5.8-6.2. The fields below are 45cm-100cm peat on top of 1m-5m Blue Clay which in turn sits over yellow sand. The trees in the background are almost at Loch Eye level which is a 160 hectare Kettle Hole Loch from the last Ice age. Annual Rainfall 800mm 10 year average.
