中文：从上到下，从左到右，该作品采取视觉分割的手法呈现各方面形态。受棋盘的启发，有序的节奏与格子的大小的变化让画面变得生动。从第四行开始，灰色、白色和黑色依次消失。三种明暗变化重复显现的规则被消解，逐渐让位于一种新型的错位体系。这让人联想到赋格曲的多重变奏。克利使用绘画刻刀在厚颜料中创作从而在颜色上获得与曲子的音色和音调一样多种多样的深浅变化。（出自解说牌）
English: Moving from left to right and top to bottom. Rhythmisches [In Rhythrn] resembles a visual score. Inspire by the checkerboard, variations in the squares; size enliven the ordered rhythm, From the fourth line, a grey, then a white, then a black square disappears. The repetition of the three colors loosens up and gives way to a new, staggered pattern recalling the variations of a fugue, Using a spatula in the thick paint.
