Notes Title assigned by cataloguer. Date assigned from model type of car. Inscribed on original box containing slides: Europe (Meyer's). The Place de la Republique is one of the most famous squares in Paris. In the centre of the Place de la Republique is a 10m high statue, called Republique set on top of a monument dedicated to the history of the formation of the French republic. The statue dates from 1883 and was made by Delou.
