Description
English: River Bann (view downstream), Lindsay's Bridge, Ballydown. The River Bann is crossed by nine bridges from Katesbridge to the Water Bridge in Banbridge. This is the view downstream from Lindsay’s Bridge at Ballydown. The Lindsay family had its origins in Scotland settling near Banbridge in the late 17th century. They eventually entered the linen trade becoming involved with Ballydown Bleachworks.
