Summary
[edit]DescriptionRiver Churnet at Consallforge - geograph.org.uk - 582346.jpg |
English: River Churnet at Consallforge. Looking up the River Churnet from the bridge to the Black Lion. The river is navigable from the right via the Caldon Canal from Stoke on Trent and continues into another canal section behind and to the right of the photographer. The river passes under the bridge to the left and on to 582340. As the name suggests, this now pastoral scenery was once an industrial area and the buttresses that can be seen are the remains of the old lime kilns. |
