| Description |
English: River Welland from Fen Bridge. Looking down stream you can really appreciate how wide the river is. Note that the right hand bank is lower than the left one. This allows flood water to flow into the Crowland Low Wash, an area of floodwater holding land bounded to the southeast by the Wash Bank, rather than onto the farmland to the northeast. |
