Riverview House, Lismore, NSW, August 2023

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Riverview House (or "Riverview"), on the corner of Molesworth and Zadoc Streets, Lismore, New South Wales, Australia, photographed in August 2023. Built in the 1870s for John Currie, a local timber merchant, and subsequently a succession of doctors' residences, it is a rare survival of domestic architecture from the period within the Colemans Point area, now part of the Lismore Central Business District (CBD). At one time it was the residence of George Nesbitt, businessman, alderman and mayor at Lismore from 1906 to 1907, and future member for Lismore in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly.
