Description

Usually the Straw Dot sits head-down on grasses; however, this one - I do not know why he bucks up - prefers heads up! The moth fly V-IX in two (3?) generations; the larva feeds on weeds (grasses) esp. Carex. more info: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivula_sericealis
