| Description |
English: Road junction, Braes of Doune Folk opposing wind farms tend to concentrate on the visual impact of the turbines, and this is a particularly intrusive development. What is not always noticed is the sheer milage of road required, and in this case the exposure of a large area of deep peatland to erosion. This may not be Longannet, but it still has a carbon footprint, through the loss of peat cover.
There is also a concern about the runoff of sediment into the rivers. |
