Summary[edit]
DescriptionRocky coastline at Dally Bay - geograph.org.uk - 1625319.jpg |
English: Rocky coastline at Dally Bay These rocks lie at the north end of Dally Bay. The sea stack called Craig Laggan or the Ebbstone lies out to sea. It is MUCH further out than it looks.
In the late 19th century, the top of the stack was blown off and a light was afixed as a warning to shipping. The light has now gone but it is still possible to see the metal stakes produding from the top. Around the stack are the sunken remains of many ships and even the remains of an aircraft. On the horizon, a P&O ferry crosses from Cainryan to Larne. |
