Summary[edit]

Description
English: Coats of arms of the Austrian Counts Rosetti, in fact a distant branch of the Greek-Romanian family of that name, whose main line had settled in Moldavia. Both branches used the cup (or vase) and the three roses, but the established one had azure and argent as tinctures; the bull's head is for Moldavia, where the family ancestor Antonie Ruset had reigned as Prince. Visuals as they appear in the original diploma granted by Emperor Francis, reproducing an earlier diploma, conferred upon Count Nicolae Rosetti in 1733. For the facsimiles and history, see Cătălina Opaschi, "Diplomele de înnobilare ale familiei Rosetti", in Muzeul Național, Vol. XVI, 2004, pp. 127–149.
