Summary[edit]

Description Georgsbrunnen again, and a half-timbered house. It has an oriel ("erker") extension over the square. The house was built in 1488. Bürgermeister (mayor) Nusch lived in it from about 1517 on, according to one site. He was the former mayor who saved Rothenburg from destruction when the city was captured in 1631, by answering a challenge to drink 3 liters of wine at one draught. This feat is commemorated on the Rathaus mechanical clock, and in an annual pageant.
