Summary[edit]

Description Members of 40 Commando Unit, D Company Royal Marines, stationed onboard the aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious (R06), fast rope onto the deck of the U.S. Military Sealift Command oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO-197) from a Royal Navy Westland Sea King HC.4 helicopter on 23 February 2002. Royal Marines and U.S. Navy SEAL Team members were participating in a boarding training exercise conducted onboard Pecos in the Indian Ocean.
