Description
Русский: Ростовский кремль.

Царские врата. Мастер инок Исайя. 1562 год. Происходят из Богоявленского собора Богоявленского Авраамиева монастыря в Ростове.

На нижней дугообразной планке сени находится надпись, выполненная вязью по зеленому фону белилами "Лета 7070 (1562) месяца августа 29 на память Усекновения святой главы Иоанна Предтечи совершися в дом Богоявления Христа Бога и чудотворца Авраамия в Ростове при благовером царе и великом князе Иоанне Васильевиче всея Руси, при архиепископе Никандре при архимандрите Богоявленском Ионе. Инок Исая".

Живописные вставки-клейма створок, столбиков и надвратной сени расположены согласно одному из вариантом иконографии Царских врат. На створах - Благовещение и 4 евангелиста за работой. В центральной части надвратной сени - живописные клейма с Причащением апостолов - слева раздаяние хлеба, справа вина. По сторонам в круглых медальонах - Богоматерь воплощение и Троица.
