Description
English: Ruined glasshouse (detail) — Scotland.
  • The photo shows some of the ironwork of the structure, marked as the product of "SIMPSON & FARMER HORTICULTURAL BUILDERS GLASGOW", who appear to have been responsible for all of the ironwork in these buildings; brackets supporting the sides of the structure are very similar, but have the additional text "No 5" beside the central floral motif. This firm was based near 1539635; compare http://www.theglasgowstory.com/image.php?inum=TGSA01418.
  • For a view along the range of glasshouses, as seen from below this part of the roof, see 1602883. As noted there, these structures should not be considered a safe place to explore.
