Records of Confederate Veterans are understandably very hard to verify but there is no doubt in our minds but that he was a Confederate soldier and is over 116 years old. Evidence like the enclosed continues to pile up. Mr. Beard, your name is on our official list to notify when Walter Williams dies. If you plan to attend the funeral ceremony I think you should be included in the list of speakers at the big public ceremony that we have in our plans. We have several speakers listed for very short eulogies of less than five minutes and this includes Tom Crigler your present Commander-In-Chief. Would you please let me know if you plan to come. The old General has again made a rally and from this point it looks like he may even reach his 117th birthday on the 14 November. Very sincerely yours, Russell S. Wolfe, M.D.
