Ο αρχάγγελος Μιχαήλ 17ος αιώνας, 36x44,5εκ. Αντώνιος Μηταράς "Ο Α(ρ)Χ(άγγελος) ΜΙΧΑ(ήλ), ΧΕΙΡ ΑΝΤΩΝΙΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΜΗΤΑΡΑ"

Στην εικόνα παριστάνεται ο αρχάγγελος Μιχαήλ σε ένα εικονογραφικό τύπο γνωστό στην μεταβυζαντινή ζωγραφική. Ο άγγελος φοράει στρατιωτική εξάρτυση, έχει γυμνό σπαθί στο δεξί χέρι, πατάει σε μισόγυμνο άντρα που βρίσκεται ξαπλωμένος στο έδαφος, και με το αριστερό του χέρι κρατάει την ψυχή του τελευταίου που έχει τη μορφή σπαργανωμένου βρέφους.
