| Description | U.S. Navy Grumman S2F-1 Trackers from Anti-Submarine Squadron 24 (VS-24) "Duty Cats" and VS-27 "Pelicans" prepare for launch from the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge (CVS-45). both squadrons were assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 56 (CVSG-56) aboard the Valley Forge for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 9 June to 30 August 1960. |
