Summary[edit]

Description A U.S. Navy Grumman S2F-1 Tracker of Anti-Submarine Squadron VS-23 "Black Cats" in flight. VS-23 was assigned to the the aircraft carrier USS Princeton (CVS-37) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 19 June to 2 December 1958. This was Princeton´s last deployment as an aircraft carrier before her conversion to a helicopter carrier. She was redesignated LPH-5 on 2 March 1959.
