Summary[edit]

Description
English: SLCM LAUNCH PLATFORM ADAPTABILITY. The aerodynamically clean, efficient, and rugged design of the SLCM makes it adaptable to a wide variety of launch platforms. Because the SLCM is the only U.S. Cruise Missile with a true standoff capability, the Director of Defense Research and Engineering has directed the Navy to perform design studies and make appropriate design changes to preserve the option of employing the SLCM from the B-52, either internally or externally.
