Summary[edit]

Description
Nederlands: Panorama vanaf de kerktoren van de Dorpskerk op o.a. de Achterweg/Achterstraat in 1950, gezicht naar het zuiden en zuidwesten. Links, iets boven het midden, staat de voormalige Gereformeerde kerk. Daarachter huizen aan de Vermaatstraat en Eerste Kooistraat. Naar rechts gaat de Achterstraat over in de Vredehofstraat. De straat linksaf is de Groene Kruisstraat met op de hoek het voormalig Groene-Kruisgebouw (nu Hospice de Waterlelie) en daarnaast het fabrieksterrein van de VeGe. Daarachter zijn de nog ongerepte weilanden (bij de stofwolk). Op de voorgrond tuinen, opslagplaatsen en woningen die vanaf 1963 allemaal moesten wijken voor de Eerste Heulbrugstraat, het nieuwe kerkplein/de Markt en Boekenberg.
