Inspirada no espírito das “aldeias da roupa branca” que até aos princípios do século 20 se viveu na região, nomeadamente na Charneca e na Venda do Pinheiro, em cujos rios e fontes eram lavadas as roupas que as “freguesas” de Lisboa “davam ao rol”, foi efectuada uma homenagem nas comemorações do nascimento de Beatriz Costa com um “cortejo” que integrou galeras e burros com trouxas de roupa lavada e os respectivos saloias e saloios vestidos a rigor.
