| Description |
Español: Palito amargo,. Habita desde Coquimbo a Malleco. Hierba perenne hirsuto-glandulosa. Toda la planta es pegajosa. Flores muy vistosas de 4 a 5 cm de longitud, reunidas en panoja laxa. Florece en noviembre-diciembre. Algunos individuos presentan una segunda floración en el mes de enero, pero las flores son de menor tamaño y menos numerosas. En la costa el perigonio de la flor es de color blanco con nervadura de la base teñida marrón y amarillo, hacia el interior de la región la nervadura y parte de la lámina cambia a color azul-morado y en precordillera pueden encontrarse plantas con todo el perigonio de color burdeo-azulado, encontrándose todas las combinaciones entre ambos colores.
